> How To
- Register
Click on "new user" (top right corner of site).
Complete all the compulsory details. If you would like us to help service you better, please complete the optional details.
Press "register" and an automatic email will be sent to you verifying you as the user. To complete the registration process you must click on the link and verify that you are the legitimate user.
- Login
The next time you visit the site all you need to do is put your registered email and password. Hit the go button next to the password box and you're logged in.
- Search for music
To help you find music easier and faster DMH provides an interactive, customised search experience.
At a site level you can define your search criteria by clicking on the relevant icon in the top right had section of the site. Your options are all music, for my pod or for my decks.
- Currency converter
In the top right hand corner you can choose the currency you wish to view the site in. This is updated twice a day according to information at that time. It is meant as a guide only and DMH is not responsible for variations at checkout.
- Search box
Located in the left panel choose from all, track, artist, album or label. Type in the name and then hit the go button to the right of the text box.
- Featured Artist, Albums and labels
These can be found on the home page and of the pages of genre search. The information changes weekly.
Clicking on Featured Artists, Featured Albums and Featured Labels will take you to a page of featured.
Clicking on the album image or text information will display more detail about that album, artist or label.
- Within "New Releases" and "Top 10" tables
- Pressing this week, last week and last week defines the time frame. In these tables, the box next to "weeks" allows you to write the number of weeks of analysis. Then press the button next to "weeks" to calibrate the site according to the defined criteria.
- The next page allows you to
- Filter the information by genre by pressing the down arrow on the drop down box, and then pressing the right arrow next to it to define the page view,
- Redefine the weeks of analysis,
- View by either album or track by choosing your viewing preference.
- Choose the number of results per page by clicking on the either 10, 20 or 30.
- All information within the table is a hyperlink to further information on that track, artist, album or label.
- New Releases
Mouse over New Releases then your choice of search; either album or track then click on all or the relevant genre that you wish to view. A page will then display your search criteria with the same options as 3bii.
- Top 100
Mouse over Top 100 then your choice of search; either album, track or artist and then click on all or the relevant genre that you wish to view. If choosing album or track a page will then display your search criteria with the same options as 3bii. If choosing Artist a landing page of the Top 100 artists will appear. Your search criteria will then have the same options as 3bii minus the filter option.
- Browse
Mouse over Browse then click on album, track, artist, featured artist, featured album or featured label. In the case of the featured options the functionality is the same as 3a. In the case of album, track and artist you are given an alphabetical search option.
- Genre
Pressing genre takes you to a landing page that shows a list of genres and their sub genre. The genre definitions act as links to a home page for the respective genre.
- DJ Charts
Pressing this button takes you to the DJ Charts page that features DMH DJ's charts. Clicking on the DJ information will take you that DJ page which features their charts and if they have releases on the site, their music.
By clicking on the DJ button, a list of all DJ's is displayed. The DJ name acts as link to that DJ's page. You can do an alphabetical search by clicking on the relevant letter.
You also have the option to review previous charts by that particular DJ.
- The DMH Player and Playing Music
- The orange speaker icon button featured to the right of all tracks adds the relevant track straight to the DMH player
- Clicking on the playlist button adds the track to the playlist and spools the track to be played next in the player
- There is a volume slider on the left hand side of the player and a mute button at the bottom of the slider
- There is play, next and back buttons plus a slider
- To remove a track from the playlist, press the "x" next to the track you wish to remove
- You can scroll up and down the playlist by clicking on the slider knob and moving it vertically
- You can create a playlist by clicking on the "save list" button. This function allows you to save your favourite tracks for purchase at a later date or to share with a friend
- You can clear all music in the player and playlist by clicking on "clear list"
- You can send the playlist to a friend (s) by clicking on email to a friend
- Adding music to the crate
- You can add music to the crate by clicking on the buy button which is next to the track and on the player itself
- You can add music to the crate that is in the player list by clicking on the "buy list" button
- You can add music to the crate by clicking on the "buy all" button in the Top 10 table
- You can add music to the crate from your playlist by clicking on "buy playlist" in My Account
- Buying Music
Clicking on the View Crate button on the left panel or the right hand corner of the site lists the tracks that you have selected to go into your crate. This section allows you to:
- Review the track by pressing the speaker icon
- Set the download bitrate by clicking the dropdown box and making a selection
- Add track to the playlist by pressing the relevant button
- Remove the track by checking the relevant box and pressing "update cart" at the bottom of the page
You can then proceed to the checkout by pressing the relevant button

- My Account
- My Downloads
This section has two purposes:
- The purchased tracks are displayed here and made available for download by clicking on the download button
- You can also review your purchase history and re-print invoices
- My Playlist
When tracks are saved into your customised list you can review those lists in your My Account and by pressing the My Playlist button.
- When saving a playlist, either click the icon next to New Playlist (and name it) or Overwrite On and select the list you want to overwrite from the dropdown chart. Then hit the right arrow button.
- You have the option to view, delete, load the playlist into the player, buy or email the list. Just click on the relevant description.
- Clicking on the playlist name or view option reveals the tracks in your playlist. You can review the tracks here and add to the crate or buy the list by hitting the "Buy Playlist
- My Profile
Here you can update your personal information including the following global settings:-
- preferred file format
- password
- email
- format for receiving newsletters
